Shengjie He is a Doctoral Candidate in Emerging Digital Technologies at the Institute of Mechanical Intelligence, Scuola Superiore Sant’Anna, Pisa, Italy. As part of the DN–AERIALIST project (DC10), his research focuses on human–exoskeleton interaction, taking into account human behavior. Specifically, he aims to develop a co-adaptive control framework that integrates physics-based modeling with data-driven probabilistic machine learning approaches. The system learns users’ behavioral patterns and estimates their intent, enabling robust motion control and improved assistance performance.
Shengjie obtained his Master’s degree in Robotic Systems Engineering from RWTH Aachen University, Germany, in 2025. His previous work includes the control of industrial robotic arms for multi-directional additive manufacturing.
His research interests include machine learning, human–robot co-adaptation, and robotic control for assistive applications.
