Mohammed Tloul is a Doctoral Candidate in the Mechatronics Research Group (M-Group) at KU Leuven’s Department of Electrical Engineering. His research, part of the DN–AERIALIST project, focuses on developing a novel hazard analysis methodology that integrates STAMP and STPA, emphasizing human interaction in assessing risks related to powered wheelchairs.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering from Birzeit University (2017) and a Master’s in Functional Safety Engineering from the University of Kassel (2023). Mohammed worked for two years as a working student in Functional Safety Engineering. He also has two years of experience as a Maintenance Engineer and two years as an Automotive Product Safety Consultant.
His research interests include Systems Safety and Systems Engineering, particularly in assistive healthcare applications.
