Federico Bauducco is a Doctoral Candidate at the Rehabilitation Engineering Laboratory (RELab), ETH Zurich, and the ZfP, Balgrist University Hospital. As part of the DN–AERIALIST project, his research focuses on wearable sensors to decode movement intention and enable real-time control of a hand exoskeleton (the tenoexo). His goal is to improve intention detection strategies and support robot-assisted rehabilitation through adaptive, as-needed assistance, while also developing assessment tools for clinical environments to monitor functional recovery.
He obtained his MSc in Biomedical Engineering from Politecnico di Torino in 2023. Then, he worked as a research engineer at the Motion Analysis Lab, Harvard Medical School (Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital), focusing on biomechanics, wearable sensors, and robotics.
His interests include translational, human-centered rehabilitation engineering using wearable and robotic technologies.
